Cedar Creek, Sunday 18th November
These images were taken on Sunday at Cedar Creek, North West of Brisbane. David de Groot picked me up from the city with some other flickr-ites and we went out to his home, had some breakfast (David cooks some mean pancakes and crepes), then did some very pedestrian exploration of the surrounds.
First we headed up to a part of the creek that David had photographed before, but unfortunately it wasn’t flowing as strongly as the day he had been there previously. It didn’t stop a visiting family from bathing and playing in the shallow rock pools though, and more people turned up a few minutes before we left.
We then went a bit downstream and snapped some shots, before heading back to Dave’s place for lunch and tick plucking. After lunch was a brief foray into the steeply sloped jungle in Dave’s back yard followed by some mosquito bite scratching.
I achieved a few decent photographs, nothing overwhelmingly special, but Martin took some really nice macro shots.
