This was taken on Australia Day, 2007, as the sun dipped below the horizon just prior to the traditional celebratory fireworks across the Brisbane River.
The vantage point is the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, a popular picnic and barbecue spot affording spectacular views of inner Brisbane and the Brisbane River.
